As a Leader in the High Desert Tea Party since the 2008 elections, I’ve seen Citizens participate in unprecedented numbers to do their part to “Take Back Our Country” from a government out of control.
Citizens from All Political Parties demonstrated their “Right to Assemble” and made known their beliefs in free markets, fiscal responsibility, and limited government with strict adherence to the Constitution of the United States. We protested on April 15 for the whole world to see from the former site of the Cocky Bull Steakhouse.
The leading declarations of the Mission were:
Firstly, to bring about change in the United States Congress sufficient to halt any further advance of the progressive socialist agenda.
Secondly, to bring about change in both houses of Congress and the Presidency sufficient to allow the reversal of the legislative advances that have already been made towards a socialist state. I believe in a Limited government accountable to the people.
As your Congressman in Washington, every day I will fight for our Constitution and the American way of life. I will not only be the voice of District 8, I will make sure that voice is heard. Together, we can show Washington that the people of District 8 are ready to take back America, fight for what we believe in, and restore the greatness of this nation for the generations to come.
You have the ability to see that the Bill of Rights is restored in practice by sending me to Washington DC. I invite you to examine the Mission Statement and Constitution of the High Desert Tea Party as a simple way to identify some of the basic tenants that we have been fighting for:
Freedom of Religion, Speech and the Press, Right to Bear Arms – Search and Arrest Warrants – Rights in Criminal Cases – Rights in Civil Cases – Rights to a Fair Trial – Bails – Fines – Punishments – States’ Rights – Defending the Borders – No Taxation without Representation – No UN Authority Over Our Troops in Combat or the Defense of Our Nation – No Detention of U.S. Citizens Without Due Process (NDAA)
I will represent the complete overhaul or elimination of the EPA, IRS, Federal Reserve Responsibilities, and Departments of Energy, Education, and Interior in order to increase government efficiency.
Unemployment is directly related to failing tax, mortgage and over-regulatory policies. I will represent bold tax cut plans that will virtually throw out the IRS code, as U.S. taxpayer’s money should be returned to the states, and the people of District 8.
I will defend Social Security and MediCare for our senior citizens and advocate the protection of these trust accounts.
I will advocate peace through strength in our foreign policy, and ensure full medical benefits to all military members.
As a Reserve Air Force Veteran, Real Estate Broker, Tea Party Leader, former City Councilman & Mayor of Hesperia, I have personally seen what makes America the beacon of hope around the world. I have borne witness to the greatness of the American people throughout my life, from the brave men and women I had the honor of serving alongside in the United States Air Force and Armed Services, to the people I have worked with throughout my career in real estate, all chasing their own version of the American Dream. As I witness the third major economic cycle in my lifetime as a real estate licensee and broker, it is clear to see that through the failed policies of Dodd-Frank, Washington D.C. has yet to understand and address the catastrophic nature of the meltdown in the real estate industry. It is time we take corrective action and send someone to Congress that not only understands the financial and real estate markets, but has the resources to pull from the real estate industry and draft legislation that can actually make a difference.
Everyday we are reminded of what makes our nation so great, but the current situation in Washington D.C. is not one of those reminders. Despite the gridlock, angst, and bureaucracy that currently inhabit our capital city, I believe the values that built our country and sustain our people will once again prevail, so long as we Americans are willing to wake to the call and defend our Constitution.
As you know, we are fighting to win a congressional seat in one of the largest, rural territories in California, and your contributions will make the difference in my ability to reach the voters of District 8 by radio and mail. It doesn’t matter how much you contribute, what matters is that we all contribute something to the fight. So I appreciate anything you can afford to send. Additionally, your time as a volunteer can be one of the greatest contributions of all. There are a host of tasks in the organization and I am sure that you have a talent or a skill that will guarantee our success.
But most importantly, please join me on June 5, 2012 for the primary election. If we win, I will be the candidate selected to represent the Constitutional, conservative values of the people of District 8 in the November election.
I need your vote as we begin the fight to take back our country!
Sincerely,
Bill Jensen
